I know you might be thinking that this shade of pink is a bit outlandish but it was all alone in a clearance pile for only $5 at H&M and I know it was because of the color. For $5 I just had to get it because you can make almost anything work. You can even just use it as a beach sweater for the summer time because the bright color would be perfect for that time of year. I bought this dress when I visited FIDM in LA a couple of years ago. They have a student store where they sell clothes that their students have made at a very reasonable price. I loved this dress because you can do so many things with it and the turtleneck collar makes it unique (shout out to whoever made it.) I got this floral headband at one of those Brandy Melville warehouse sales and I do not wear it enough. However, with the pink I had to tie in some pattern somehow so I picked the headband to keep it subtle since the sweater is already very bright. I wanted to do a post with these shoes because they are probably my favorite pair of shoes that I own. I get scared to wear them out because I do not want to ruin them (I am OCD about taking care of my stuff). I usually wear these with a somewhat boring outfit since they are so unique, but I figured with the grey/light pink/black they looked really pretty with the outfit and literally added some shine. This is my favorite style shoe (oxford type) hands down because they usually go with anything and make it look even better. I always like to incorporate some pattern or unexpected article of clothing to my outfits because it is always fun to see what you can come up with. It was difficult to capture how metallic these shoes are in a picture, they also are soft and have a worn leather/suede feel. Of course the jewelry had to be silver to match the shoes, a friend of the family gave me this Tiffany bracelet and it is so pretty I am so grateful for it. March was full of wine and birthdays haha. These hats made a total comeback and while a black one would've looked just as cute, I like to add color and match my sunglasses hehe. I added the white t-shirt under the dress to #1 match my shoes, and #2 make it have more of a school girl look. I like layering tees under things it makes the look more unexpected. Bustier Crop Top: Tilly's Tribal print maxi skirt: Brandy Melville Leather boots: ASOS Charm bracelet: H&M Earrings: Forever 21 Fedora: Forever 21 I love this skirt for one reason and that is the slit going down the side. Maxi skirts can actually be quite awkward if they have a straight hem because then a lot of shoes look weird with it. The slit allows you to wear different style shoes because it is still a long skirt, but it is open enough to see your legs and your shoes clearly. I chose this top because I did not want to use a boring black crop top because I think it is too predictable. I love this top because the color is really pretty and it is made for high-waisted skirts or shorts as such. The zipper in the front and the criss-cross straps in the back are all little details that make it stand out more than a regular top.
