CRAZY PANTS

Black Tee: Cotton On
Boots: ASOS
Crescent moon necklace: F21
Turquoise necklace: Charming Charlie
Sunglasses: Banana Republic
Pants: Roxy

Nothing says statement more than these pants, they have to be one of my favorite pairs that I own. Selena, Wendy, and I planned to go to LA and I knew we would be stumbling across this infamous pink wall on Melrose, so of course I planned to wear these pants b/c they have pink in them & I knew they would look cute against the wall (my OCD about matching goes to a whole another level sometimes). I bought these at the Roxy/ Quiksilver store and fell in love with them instantly. I actually think they are meant to just wear to the beach over your bathing suit (because they have that linen feel), but why limit it to that?! I have tried to wear these pants with other combinations of colors to bring out the accents, but nothing looks as good as plain black. To bring out color, I wore two necklaces but one of them was the same turquoise color that is in the pants so it stood out a little more. I have learned that sometimes less is more, I am not saying these pants are less of anything but I usually would have tried to over do it and be more creative with how I wore them, I try not to use black all the times since it's so easy to match with everything. I say this because I like to be more challenged when I put outfits together to come up with new things. If you constantly want to match everything with black that is fine, but think of how an outfit would look if you wore the most unexpected thing, and just go with it. In an instance like this, black was really the only color that would make this outfit look best, and if I wanted to dress it up even more I could have worn open toed wedges with more sophisticated jewelry too. Like I stress in every post, statement pieces are what make your wardrobe. I know these pants aren't everybody's style, but lately I have been seeing the boho pants everywhere and these are even different from that. Have fun with what you wear! I have heard all the jokes about these pants, my sister even said they blinded her..... haha. We went to Alfred's coffee and they were selling $10 lattes so we laughed and bought the less expensive ones, they then became obligatory props in the photos, I don't think we planned to look dramatic while drinking coffee it just kind of happened. Also, thanks Wendy & Selena for taking the pics!! Yay summer :)
