Boho Scene

Tribal print maxi skirt: Brandy Melville
Leather boots: ASOS
Charm bracelet: H&M
Earrings: Forever 21
Fedora: Forever 21
I love this skirt for one reason and that is the slit going down the side. Maxi skirts can actually be quite awkward if they have a straight hem because then a lot of shoes look weird with it. The slit allows you to wear different style shoes because it is still a long skirt, but it is open enough to see your legs and your shoes clearly. I chose this top because I did not want to use a boring black crop top because I think it is too predictable. I love this top because the color is really pretty and it is made for high-waisted skirts or shorts as such. The zipper in the front and the criss-cross straps in the back are all little details that make it stand out more than a regular top. Granted, a regular black shirt would still make this outfit really cute. To even out the black from my shoes I added my black fedora which I want to try not to use too much because if it was up to me I would wear it with every outfit because it goes with everything. I love bracelets that cuff higher up on your arm they are so stylish and you don't get that annoying-ness of your bracelet sliding up and down your arm all day ( In some pictures it slid down). Since the top has front detail I did not wear a necklace because it would have clashed with the coloring of the zipper and quilt like detail. When you can't wear a necklace, substitute it with earrings like I did. These earrings are dramatic but also subtle with this outfit because the color matches exactly. The trick to dressing is wearing every piece of clothing best you can. To make the earrings stand out and look nice against the black of my hat I pulled my hair to the side so it was not so overwhelming with my hair in my face, a hat, and earrings. I do not really have one set style, one day is one look the next is another, but this boho look is something I wish I rocked more often. If I was fortunate enough to go to Coachella I probably would have thought of something like this but then again everyone turns into a boho queen for Coachella. These boots are fairly new and they are a staple item for any girls' wardrobe. Hello.... black boots are everything. I think we all know this though! With something like black boots that literally go with any outfit, style, or look it is fun to think of the most creative way to wear them. I have always favored boots over sandals so for me boots are like an automatic thing to buy and wear more often because they just up the quality of any outfit in my opinion, especially real leather boots. I did get these super on sale so fortunately I did not have to pay for the amount of style I got, but shoes are something I will definitely spend more money on. It is better to spend more money on one GOOD pair of shoes that are QUALITY then spend less on a pair of shoes that probably are not as comfortable, will wear out quicker, and won't look as good because you pay for style when you buy shoes. I got this skirt when I went to that Brandy Melville warehouse sale and I think it is an important piece to have because if you were getting dressed up you could wear it with heels and a leather jacket with your hair up and a dramatic necklace and then wear it with converse the next day. The challenge of styling things differently is what makes dressing so fun. I swear the winds were blowing 75 miles per hour so it was hard to get calm pics (my hat literally flew off my head into the field) but the motion of my skirt was in favor because it was flowing in the wind so I hope you guys like this post. XOXOXOXOXO
