Floral Kimono

Floral Kimono: Tilly's
Black Dress: H&M
Two-layer neklace: TOPSHOP
Cutout ankle boots: TOPSHOP

I don't think my obsession with floral print will ever die. I tried for awhile to stop buying it because my entire closet looks like a garden, but that is nearly impossible for me. Especially with summer in full swing, no other pattern is more appropriate at this time. This kimono is very dramatic because of the length but it could literally be worn hundreds of ways, it has versatility. The main reason I liked it was because it's a statement piece (always has to be one) and it is so lightweight and cool for the hot summer days. I especially liked how it was sleeveless as well. I put it over a black dress and paired it with some leather ankle boots from TOPSHOP. I love these boots not only because they are black leather but because they have the cutouts on the side. This takes away from the harshness of the look and they are not as hot to wear in the heat, plus it adds detail. Although it was probably 95 degrees when I took these hence the serious looks, I just couldn't see because of the sun quite honestly. I have worn this necklace in a post before & it went perfect with this outfit because of the layers. You have to be careful if you wear something dramatically long like the kimono because you need to make sure everything else is proportioned or else the look will not be appeasing. Since the length of the kimono draws your eyes down you need a necklace to do the same thing. This necklace is very long and keep the flow of the outfit. I like the choker part of it too because it toughens up the floral look instead of making it look too girly. Also how could I forget that the tips of my hair are purple...pink... fuschia....? Idk what color it turned into but I wanted to thank Ashley for doing it, she did a superb job. She may as well take hair dying up as her day job. Not going to lie either, I mainly did this outfit because it matched my hair haha so enjoy and go buy yourself a floral cape and twirl in the wind :))))))))
