Collared pin stripe blouse: Charlotte Russe
Black tank: It was my Mom's

Sequin belt: Forever 21
Acid wash high- waisted capris: Urban Outfitters
Suede ankle boots: H&M
Purse: Prada (this was also my mom's but she gave it to me)

I wish I had a name for this look, but I honestly do not know what to call it. I am really into layering and adding detail to anything I can so I wanted to make the look sleek with a collared button up, but it is much more interesting if you throw another shirt over it. These joggers are not real denim they are cotton made to look like denim so they are so comfortable. I do not wear them often because they have to be worn a certain way with a certain belt to look precisely right. I love how the zippers on the side add detail and offer another element to the pants. These boots are very bold and usually I would not wear them with capri-length pants but I think it works because of the slits on the side. I have to wear a belt with these pants otherwise they would not stay up so of course pick the one with sequins. Since the outfit is rather dark the sparkles add a nice touch especially since it is only peeking out in the front. With high waisted anything, usually you tuck in your shirt to look more proportioned, but since the dress shirt underneath has flaps that can be split I thought it was cute that one side is un-tucked to add another element. My mom was kind enough to bless me with this purse. She used to wear it with her pant suits to work in the 80's and I gladly took it off her hands haha. White purses are not very common and the tassels just make it so cute and less conservative. I chose the white because my go-to purse is always black and I wanted to use something different that offered a lot of style. Also, the white balances the light color from my collared shirt. Stripes and plaid usually clash but the stripes on my shirt are so small and are actually navy blue that it's a nice contrast to the blue on my fedora. Mixing patterns and washes is okay so long that the color palette compliments each other. Dressing is not about matching, but complimenting and correlating different pieces to contrast each other and feed off of each others colors and prints. Using black as a staple is easy because anything you add will more than often look okay. The red detail in the hat takes away from the harshness of the jet black shoes and so does the purse. I recommend pants like these for the summer because they are a nice break from tight jeans and have much more style. Hope you liked :))
