I recently went to Washington D.C. and New York and I know I haven't posted in awhile so I wanted to do a collab post of some of my outfits on my trip. First off, space for packing clothes was very limited in my suitcase because I was sharing and the humidity was so intense that nobody even felt like wearing clothes at all. I tried to come up with some nice outfits (and save the better ones for New York...duhh) without being completely miserable in the heat and humidity. Besides the fashion aspect of the trip, the view of New York was hands down my favorite thing ever. We went to Top of the Rock and stood in awe for over an hour of the skyline.... which of course made for some great pictures. Later that day the sunset was beautiful and I tried taking pics for the blog, but the view was much more worthy of pictures. My favorite outfit was the floral shorts and pink sheer tank because it was lightweight and had the most style for the big city. Dressing for 90 degree weather and 80% humidity can really test you. New York is such a fashion forward city that it was worth it to suffer a little bit to dress a little cuter hehe. Malibu Wine Safari

Hat: Brixton Dress: H&M White tee: Boohoo Belt: Pacsun Sunglasses: RayBan Shoes: Steve Madden Necklace: Urban Outfitters Bracelets: one is 'Tiffany' and one I got in France  I did the Malibu Wine Safari last month for my other friend's birthday and my life was made when I got to feed my spirit animal, a llama. March was full of wine and birthdays haha. These hats made a total comeback and while a black one would've looked just as cute, I like to add color and match my sunglasses hehe. I added the white t-shirt under the dress to #1 match my shoes, and #2 make it have more of a school girl look. I like layering tees under things it makes the look more unexpected. It is important to pick silver or gold when accessorizing. Although mixing is not a crime I am OCD about it all matching. Bustier Crop Top: Tilly's Tribal print maxi skirt: Brandy Melville Leather boots: ASOS Charm bracelet: H&M Earrings: Forever 21 Fedora: Forever 21 I love this skirt for one reason and that is the slit going down the side. Maxi skirts can actually be quite awkward if they have a straight hem because then a lot of shoes look weird with it. The slit allows you to wear different style shoes because it is still a long skirt, but it is open enough to see your legs and your shoes clearly. I chose this top because I did not want to use a boring black crop top because I think it is too predictable. I love this top because the color is really pretty and it is made for high-waisted skirts or shorts as such. The zipper in the front and the criss-cross straps in the back are all little details that make it stand out more than a regular top.
