The Basics

Image
Brixton Hat: Urban Outfitters Rolling Stones Tee: Urban Outfitters Plaid Pants: Urban Outfitters Ankle Boots: Steve Madden I did a series of looks a few months ago and I have not posted them yet because I am still figuring out the best way to blog. Since I have started school at FIDM I have been busier than ever, but I want to start writing about my experiences and showing more looks (that is when I actually have time to get ready). This look is so versatile because each piece is really a basic every girl should have. Cute hat: check, band tee: check, patterned pants: check, killer boots: check. I am a sucker for taking statement items like these pants and pairing them with things that are subtle yet still unexpected. Mixing graphics with plaid is an easy go to. These hats have really made a comeback and for good reasons. The Brixton hats are very flattering on everyone and make any outfit better. I am hoping the athleisure trend ends soon. Quite honestl...

Malibu Wine Safari

Image
Hat: Brixton Dress: H&M White tee: Boohoo Belt: Pacsun Sunglasses: RayBan Shoes: Steve Madden Necklace: Urban Outfitters Bracelets: one is 'Tiffany' and one I got in France  I did the Malibu Wine Safari last month for my other friend's birthday and my life was made when I got to feed my spirit animal, a llama. March was full of wine and birthdays haha. These hats made a total comeback and while a black one would've looked just as cute, I like to add color and match my sunglasses hehe. I added the white t-shirt under the dress to #1 match my shoes, and #2 make it have more of a school girl look. I like layering tees under things it makes the look more unexpected. It is important to pick silver or gold when accessorizing. Although mixing is not a crime I am OCD about it all matching. I love the reflective RayBans because the turquoise is my favorite color and it makes any outfit pop. Even hanging them from your shirt acts as an ...

Napa Valley Style

Image
Top: BEBE Pants: Urban Outfitters  Sandals: Steve Madden Denim jacket:  It was my grandma's :)  Sunglasses: RayBan Earrings: also my grandma's hehe This was a simple look that I wore to go wine tasting last month in Napa for my friend's birthday. Napa is really pretty and has the feel and look of a little European town. After some exploring we took advantage of this cute restaurant to take pictures in front of. My grandma has a lot of cute stuff that I always wear and its funny because you can't tell it was from her haha. Her jewelry collection is insane which works in my favor because most of the time she ends up giving things to me ;) These pants are fun and breezy for a sunny day. I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit simple since the green really pops, and I added a small green accent in my jewelry to accentuate it. If you want to keep things interesting you could always hang your jacket over your shoulders instead of wearing it...

Salvation Mountain

Graphic tee: Urban Outfitters  Jeans: Urban Outfitters  High-tops: VANS  Belt: Pacsun Hat: Forever 21 Watch: NIXON I have been curious about visiting Salvation Mountain. It is a nice place to take some fun photos! However, it is in the middle of nowhere so be prepared for a drive and some desert heat. I mainly wore the hat for sun protection, but it made my outfit cute too :))) It seems that skinny jeans are losing their spotlight and I couldn't be happier. I think it was a little harder to find flared jeans before that fit me because the selection was so slim. The kick flare and cropped lengths are more in style now and I love these ones from Urban (I may be biased now that I work there) but they really are so comfy. A cute pair of jeans that fit you well can make any simple outfit look like so much more. This outfit is quite simple because I was just driving and it was hot but Rachel and I got some cute pics so I wanted to post. Happy ...
