The scarf is the main part of this outfit and it can be worn more ways than around your neck. You could tie it around your purse, or tie it in your hair with an up-do. Black and red are classics when combined together.

The pants and sweater have so much style for a fraction of the price elsewhere. To keep the style consistent, I went for a bohemian look with the bell bottom pants, fringed bag, and a dramatically long crochet sweater. People may associate all these things with being too 70's looking, but it does not have to be that way. It is rather hard to pair closed toe shoes with wide legged pants because it can quickly look awkward, but if you choose a contrasting color to a small detail like the strap on the purse it will tie in nicely.
